The mountains surrounding our valley city are green, people come out in droves for the First Friday Gallery Walk and for the Saturday Markets... in fact, arts and cultural events spring to life everywhere. • First Friday Gallery Walk Downtown Missoula from 5pm to 8pm. See local art in several galleries, meet the artist, and get a chance to purchase something new for your collection. Free

  The Farmer's Market, the Clark Fork River Market, and the People's Market bring you local food and artisan goods. All three Markets are extremely popular and guaranteed to give you a sampling of local culture. Free Admission

• International Wildlife Film Festival Opening Day. Internationally renowned filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, and many others: Enjoy a special week in Missoula, Montana at this prestigious film festival - the first and now longest running of its kind in the world! Price TBA.

• Wildfest in Caras Park To celebrate the opening day of the International Wildlife Film Festival, people of all ages may or may not be wearing animal costumes at this fun, family-friendly annual event. FREE.
